Cookie policy

Version 1.1 — In force since 24 October 2026

The essentials in 5 points

  1. Praz SI sets a few cookies, all tied to what you do on the site: staying logged in, keeping the language you chose, resuming a sign-up you started or trying the demonstration. The complete list, with their duration, is below.
  2. No audience-measurement cookie, no advertising cookie, no tracker, no third-party content (video, map, font) loaded from another site.
  3. That is why there is no cookie banner: the law does not require consent for a cookie that is necessary for the service you ask for, nor for remembering the language you chose.
  4. The chosen language is kept in a cookie, sent to the site to display the pages in that language; the theme and the text size stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
  5. If one day a measurement tool arrives, it will work without cookies and without identifiers; if a tracker were ever to arrive, a banner would appear first, with “Refuse” as simple as “Accept”. This page will be updated before any change.

This summary helps you understand; it does not replace the full text below.

The site’s cookies, one by one

“rd_session” — login. Role: keeping you logged in to your garage workspace after you enter your password. Duration: twelve hours, then you have to log in again; deleted when you log out. It contains only a signed token, no readable data about you. It is also set during a demonstration (see “praz_demo”), for the duration of that demonstration.

“praz_demo” — demonstration. Role: opening the trial copy of your garage when you launch the demonstration from the showcase site. Duration: that of the demonstration, one hour at most.

“praz_lang” — language. Role: displaying the site in the language you chose (showcase site, sign-up, preferences of your account). Duration: one year. It is sent to the site with every page and readable by the page itself, to display the right language as soon as the page loads; it contains only the language code (“fr”, “en”, “de”, “it” or “lb”).

“praz_country” — country. Role: displaying the site with the country you chose yourself (currency, local rules, national symbols). It is set only if you change country. Duration: one year. It contains only “FR”, “CH” or “LU”; it is sent to the site with every page and readable by the page itself.

“praz_signup” — sign-up in progress. Role: resuming your sign-up where you left it. Duration: seven days; sent only to the sign-up addresses.

Link of a referrer or of a business introducer: no cookie. The code of the person who recommended Praz SI to you is only in the address of the sign-up page; it is shown to you before your garage is created, and you can remove it.

All these cookies are sent only to the site itself, over an encrypted connection in production; except “praz_lang” and “praz_country”, they are inaccessible to the page’s scripts.

What we do not use

No audience-measurement cookie or tracker. No advertising or social-network cookie. No pixel in our pages. No browser fingerprinting for tracking purposes.

When you scan the QR code of a flyer or a card, the server counts the scan. To count the same person only once in the day, it keeps, for that day only, an irreversible fingerprint of the connection address, never the address itself, erased the next day; only daily totals remain. No cookie is set when you scan: if you then create an account, it is you who say, if you wish, how you heard about Praz SI.

No third-party content on our pages: fonts, images, sounds and scripts are served by the site itself, and the site’s security policy forbids the browser from loading anything from elsewhere.

What is kept in your browser, without cookies

For your convenience, a few preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage: a copy of the chosen language, the theme (dark, light, automatic), the text size, the state of the conversation with Sia on the site (which disappears when you leave the page), and in the garage workspace a few display settings (collapsed panels, filters).

This information stays on your device, is not sent to Praz SI and is not used to track you. You can erase it at any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser; the site works without it.

Praz SI can be installed as an app on a phone; the “offline” file kept by the browser contains no personal data.

Why there is no banner

A consent banner is required only when a site sets cookies or trackers that are not necessary (non-exempt audience measurement, advertising, social networks). Praz SI’s cookies serve what you ask for (login, demonstration, sign-up) or keep the language you chose.

If a data protection authority considered that one of these cookies requires your consent, we would add a clear choice before it is set, with “Refuse” as simple as “Accept”, and we would update this page. In the meantime, you can refuse all cookies in your browser: login, the demonstration and resuming a sign-up would then stop working, and the language would have to be chosen at each visit.

What would change if a measurement tool arrived

We would like one day to count the visits to the showcase site. If we do, it will be with a tool without cookies and without personal identifiers, producing aggregated figures (page views, country, type of device). In that case, no banner either, but this page and the privacy policy will be updated before it goes live, with the name of the tool and what it measures.

If, against our current principles, a non-necessary tracker were ever added, a banner would appear before anything is set, with a “Refuse” button as visible and as simple as “Accept”, and the choice would be remembered for six months at most.
